Ysios Blanco represents our expression of old Viura vines that grow at the highest part (known as “Cabezadas”) of some blocks and benefit from shallow poor soils. Our white wine is a blend of fruit coming from the highest part of several blocks growing in Laguardia, Elvillar and Páganos, including ElNogal, Rojanda, La Pedrera and Huerta Vieja.

2.5-3.5 Tonnes/Ha; 10-15 Hl/ha.
Hand harvested in small 10 kg boxes to avoid crushing the fruit.
Cold maceration on skins for 12 hours for flavour extraction.
The free-run juice and first pressing were fermented together in 500and 225 litre French-oak barrels.
A portion of the grapes were fermented on skins for 15 days to buildgreater complexity. Then a further 9 months of lees contact within aclay amphora was undertaken to build flavour and texture.
Pale-medium straw, brilliant.
Medium intensity and shy in the beginning, Ysios Blanco shows themore delicate side of old Viuras from Rioja Alavesa, with floral notessuch as jasmine, chamomile, apple and pear, and orange peel.Attractive notes of fennel, white pepper, and elegant mineral notes.
Nuances of lees and nuts.
Crisp acidity, with great texture and palate weight. Some floral notesof acacia, apple, pineapple, stony character and chalk. Complex andelegant with a long and creamy finish.
