The 2019 harvest was quite reduced and extraordinary in quality. Due to irregular fruit set, the clusters were small and very loose. Thus, the grapes enjoyed perfect health conditions. The ripening phase started well, with moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights. This, combined with the absence of rain, allowed for a low incidence of pests and diseases throughout the cycle.

The grapes were selected from different towns in Rioja Alavesa, showing the diversity of the region. The harvest was carried out manually in 12 kg boxes. We started in mid-September in the earliest vineyards closest to the Ebro River and continued until the beginning of October with the vineyards located in higher and cooler areas, with a greater Atlantic influence. The fermentation of the different plots was carried out separately in different tanks, at controlled temperatures, and was followed by a minimum aging of 12 months in French oak barrels of different sizes.
