Clara Canals
Clara was born in Tarragona in 1982. She holds a degree in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Navarra and completed a European Master’s in Enology and Viticulture in Montpellier.
Driven by curiosity and the desire to practically understand the winemaking process, Clara ventured into the vineyards of Marlborough, New Zealand. Since then, she has had the opportunity to participate in various harvest regions renowned for winemaking such as Australia, South Africa, Argentina, New Zealand, and, of course, Spain. In 2011, she permanently established herself as a winemaker in her homeland, La Rioja, and in May 2020, she joined the Ysios team with a clear objective: “To produce honest wines that reflect their origins, focusing on the distinctive character of each plot.”
